Terms of Service

Effective August 28, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tapline (the "Service"), operated by Tapline ("Tapline," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Tapline lets businesses create a single announcement ("Drop") and automatically distribute it to their email subscriber list and their connected Facebook Page and Instagram account.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you're responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription and Billing

New accounts receive a free trial period as described at signup. After the trial, continued use of the Service requires an active paid subscription, billed through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don't provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

4. Your Responsibilities

You're solely responsible for:

  • The content of your Drops, subscriber communications, and social posts published through the Service
  • Having lawful consent to email and/or text the subscribers you upload or collect through the Service, and complying with applicable laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA) governing those communications
  • Complying with Meta's Platform Terms, Community Standards, and Instagram's Terms of Use for any content you publish through your connected Facebook Page or Instagram account

You agree not to use the Service to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or spam content, or to violate any third party's rights.

5. Third-Party Platforms

The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Stripe. We don't control these platforms and aren't responsible for their availability, policies, or changes to their APIs. If Meta restricts, suspends, or changes access to its API, some or all social-posting functionality may be limited or unavailable — we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you but can't guarantee uninterrupted access.

6. Intellectual Property

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, drop text, subscriber lists) and grant us a limited license to use it solely to operate the Service on your behalf.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by a third-party platform we depend on (for example, a Meta enforcement action affecting your connected account). You may cancel your account at any time.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular email or social post will be delivered or published successfully.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tapline won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim won't exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Nebraska.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
